Your first visit to Advanced Orthodontics Kent is a complimentary, 45-60-minute exam with our treatment coordinator and Dr. Gabriela Aragon. We take digital photos and a 3D scan, complete a detailed orthodontic exam, review your options, and explain timing and cost - so you leave informed and confident. No dentist referral is required.
When you arrive at our Kent office for the first time, our treatment coordinator greets you, helps you get settled, and walks you through exactly what will happen. Your first appointment usually takes 45-60 minutes so we can fully understand your smile needs - and it’s completely complimentary, with no obligation and no referral required.
What Happens at Your First Visit
During your appointment, we will take digital photographs, complete a 3D X-ray scan, perform a detailed orthodontic examination, and review the treatment options that may be right for you. It’s your chance to learn about your smile, ask questions, and understand what treatment could look like - so you feel comfortable, informed, and confident from the very beginning.
The Purpose of the Initial Exam
The initial exam helps us understand your needs and plan the best possible care. We focus on the questions that matter most: What concerns do you (or your dentist) have about your smile or bite? When is the right time to start treatment? What kind of treatment will work best, and how long will it take? And what will it cost? Our team walks you through each one so you leave feeling supported and informed.
Insurance & Financing
We accept assignment of benefits from many insurance plans, which can lower your out-of-pocket cost. If your plan isn’t one we bill directly, we’re happy to file claims so you can be reimbursed. Plans we work with include Cigna, MetLife, Delta Dental of Washington, Humana Dental, and Premera. If your insurance changes during treatment, just let us know so we can keep your plan accurate. We also offer flexible, no-interest payment plans - your treatment coordinator will review options at your visit.
What Your Investment Includes
Your investment in orthodontic care covers the essentials of your treatment plan: orthodontic records (X-rays, diagnostic scans, study models, and a personalized growth-and-treatment study); active treatment (appliances, office visits, and procedures for early Phase I and comprehensive Phase II braces or Invisalign); retainers (one or two sets of final retainers); and ongoing support with follow-up and care instructions.
Office Hours
We offer hours that help families manage school, work, and activities: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. To help us keep every patient on schedule, please arrive a few minutes early, let us know if you’re running late, and give advance notice if you need to reschedule.
